2015-2024 Report

This is the second report from the Irish National Orthopaedic Register (INOR), presenting ten years of national data on hip and knee replacement surgery in Ireland. The report includes 43,291 hip and knee joint replacement procedures recorded across 17 public and private hospitals, providing the most comprehensive picture to date of joint replacement surgery in Ireland.

Key Findings

First Report

This is the first report from the Irish National Orthopaedic Register. The overall number of hip and knee arthroplasties included in the reporting period is 6,594. There were 3,723 hip surgeries (3,344 primary and 379 revision arthroplasties) and 2,871 knee surgeries (2,677 primary and 194 revision arthroplasties).
