Patients

As a breast implant recipient who developed sepsis post-surgery and subsequently had my implants changed due to an implant being withdrawn from the market, I am committed to contributing my personal experience to improve the outcome for breast implant recipients in the future. I believe the IBIR will be a valuable tool in protecting recipients, educating and informing surgeons on their patient's previous relative surgical history, and providing a rapid avenue to implant recipients in the case of product recall. All of this will lead to improved recipient care both in the intermediate and long term.
