We are excited to announce that registration is now open for the launch of the Major Trauma Audit National Report 2022. Join us for an in-depth exploration of the key findings from the report, as well as an inspiring patient story that highlights the significance of the major trauma system in Ireland. The key findings of the Major Trauma Audit National Report 2022 will be presented by Professor Conor Deasy, Clinical Lead for the audit and Consultant in Emergency Medicine at Cork University Hospital.
We will then hear a patient perspective from Debbie McDaniel, and gain insights from the Trauma Teams at Cork University Hospital and the Mater Misericordiae University Hospital, reflecting on their first year as Major Trauma Centres.
Liam Watts from RCSI will share updates from the Trauma Study, and David Hennelly from the National Ambulance Service will present on the development of Helimedicine in Ireland.
From an international perspective, Dr Robert Wunderlich of University Hospital Tübingen will discuss the use of AI-enabled forecasting for prehospital transfusion needs in trauma patients.
Finally, Caitríona Begley and Mr Keith Synnott from the National Office of Trauma Services will provide an update on the rehabilitation prescription and the trauma triage tool, before a closing Q&A session and final address.
