Aim and Objectives of The Emergency Medicine Airway Registry Ireland

EMARI aims to systematically collect, analyse and utilise close to real-time data on high-risk emergency airway management procedures to improve patient outcomes, inform service development, support training and reflection, and enable quality improvement, in pre-hospital and emergency department settings. 

Objectives
Improve safety and quality of care for patients requiring tracheal intubation or advanced airway management.
Support reduction of patient morbidity and mortality associated with high-risk, low-frequency emergency airway procedures, through audit and QI.
Provide a platform for individual healthcare professionals/Local department/Regional department leads to promote guided training and reflection on practice, in advanced airway management.
Improve the practice of logging intubation events and capturing data within 24hrs of intubation.
Promote EMARI dataset in the Irish Digital Healthcare landscape.
Provide high-quality, timely data to support best practice for patient care in high-risk procedures, health-services improvement, policy, research and training.
