HR experts tell us the ‘where do you see yourself in five years?’ question is now outdated ! We agree the question might be outdated, but we feel the need to consider such a question for NOCA was indeed timely.
The NOCA Executive Team arranged a Strategy Session on the 3rd March 2016. Using a ‘Collective Intelligence’ methodology we wanted to pause, reflect and look forward. The NOCA Board, supported on the day by multiple national stakeholders, used the time to explore – ‘what it is that we already do and how it’s perceived’ with the objective of defining ‘what and how we should do things in the future’. The session provoked some healthy debate on barriers, real or perceived, to the delivery of our core NOCA objectives. We also explored solutions and opportunities to overcoming barriers.
The output of the day will be collated and used to create the NOCA Strategic Plan that will create a roadmap for the next five years.
Prof Sean Tierney, Dr Philip Crowley, Mr Ken Mealy and Fiona extend many thanks to all who contributed to the day and to those who continue to support our national audit efforts at Hospital, Hospital Group and National levels.
